On the back of this photo written by her granddaughter Clara (Joerling) Rehmeier: Marie Windmueller was born in Germany. Came to the US in 1868 with 5 of her (6) children. Wilhelmine was 13 (oldest dau) and youngest was Sophia Williams nee Mutert who was 6 months. Her husband and oldest son, Fritz, came a year earlier to find work and a place to live. First home was in the field by Glen Luetkemeyer when you turn to Sherwood to the left.
