Ulfa. 26, Johannes Hold

Im Jahr Christi Achtzehn Hundert Vier und Zwanzig den Sechszehnten Novembris (dn 16ten Novembr. 1824) Nachmittags um Drei Uhr, wurde nach geschehener glaubhaften Anzeige, dem Johannes Hold dem Dritten, Ortsbürger und Ackermann dahier, von seiner Ehefrau Anna Catharina gebohrene Eißerin von hier das Erste Kind, der Erste Sohn gebohren, und den Neunzehnten desselben Monaths getauft, wo er den Namen Johannes erhielt.

Gevatter war

Johannes Metzger, Ortsbürger und Ackermann dahier

welcher gegenwärtiges Protokoll nebst dem Vater des Kinds und mir, dem Pfarrer, eigenhändig unterschrieben hat.

Wanderte nach Nordamerika aus im Febr. 1848 an meinen (?) Bruder Georg _____haus Missouri sich anschließend, als derselbe zu Besuch hier war.

In the Year of our Lord eighteen hundred twenty four, the sixteenth of November (16 November 1824), about three o'clock in the afternoon, according to duly made notification, the first child, the first son, was born to Johannes Hold the Third, local citizen and farmer here, and his wife Anna Catharina nee Eißer from here, and on the nineteenth of the same month was baptized, where he obtained the name Johannes.

Sponsor was

Johannes Metzger, local citizen and farmer here,

who along with the father of the child and me, the pastor, personally signed the present record.

Emigrated to North America in February 1848 to my (?) brother Georg _____haus Missouri joined up with, when the same was here on a visit.

(Note: I suspect this emigration was a late addition to the Giessener Society of Friedrich Münch, who went to Missouri in 1834. Unfortunately I can't read all of the note.)
