inscription on the back: "To Herman and Lydia"

This was most likely sent after Herman's father, Heinrich, died in 1923. Before this time pictures were always addressed to Grandpa and Herman. Herman and Lydia were married in 1922.

This was sent to his Grandpa Heinrich Freese. Inscription on the back reads "If you know me write to me" 

Inscription on back: "Dear Grandpa. This is me and My Sunday School Class, we have 25 boys in our class. I put a blue dot under me see if you know me. Walter Freese
