Dennis John Brakensiek passed away on November 1, 2014 at the age of 69. He was the beloved husband of Shirley Brakensiek nee Hueffmeier of Wright City, Missouri; He is survived by his son, Tracy (Stephanie) Brakensiek of Wright City, MO; sister, Sharon (Mike) Lewton of Vandalia, MO; three grandchildren: Chase, Trey & Shelby. He was preceded in death by his parents: Herbert & Verna Brakensiek nee Joerling and daughter, Tonia Brakensiek. Mr. Brakensiek served on the Cuivre River Electric Board of Directors and several other farming organization boards for several years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and life long farmer on the family farm. Dennis and Shirley were married on November 27, 1965 in New Melle, Missouri. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
