Mr. Brakensiek is survived by his brother, Emmet (Doris) Brakensiek of Wright City, MO, numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents: George and Dena Brakensiek nee Freese, sisters: Lucile Kidd and Lottie Gudahl. Mr. Brakensiek was a member of St. John United Church of Christ. He worked for 27 years as a mail carrier. He was a crop farmer and raised cattle and pigs. Carl will be dearly missed by those who knew him.
