No stones remain here, but a local resident pointed out the spot beneath a black oak where four or five gravestones were stacked about 47 years ago. Bryan & Rose, Pioneer Families of Missouri, note that John Long was the first of this family here, settling in St. Louis county first. He married Rachel Zumwalt, and died about 1823. Their sons were Lawrence (who married 1830 Malvina Hutchings) and Andrew (who married Mary Preston). Lawrence, Jr., married 1858 Margaret Twiehouse, and their children were William, Emma, Newton, John, Richard, and Francis. It is not known which family members are buried here.
