These 22 stones read by Lucille Wiechens on 10 July 1987. The
Sibley/Easton family stones are enclosed in an iron fence; the Walton
family stones are enclosed in a second iron fence.
The stone of Lucy Harrinton has now been placed within the Sibley
fence(1983 photo), A 1980 phograph show that it originally
stood just outside the fence. The Sibley cemetery evidently
stood originally on land belonging to the First Presbyterian Church,
which was purchased by Lindenwood College about 1916. Several
dogs of a Lindenwood president, Dr. John Roemer, also have stones in
the area.
The Watson stone, and those of Mr. Cary and 'Willie' are not in either
fenced area.
The location of this cemetery is at the back of Lindenwood
College. Kingshighway at Watson, off Watson Street, near
soccer field.
